Research with policy and practice implications for policing
COPR is an interdisciplinary centre bringing together research expertise from across the whole university to interrogate contemporary challenges in policing. As well as partnering with police, we work closely with a range of third sector, health, criminal justice, arts and community partners creating real world impact.
We offer a new approach to policing research, bringing together interdisciplinary teams from a variety of theoretical and methodological standpoints, with expertise in areas such as organisational & individual behaviour, criminal law & procedure, psychology & criminal justice, digital forensics, cyber security, ethics, immigration, AI, policing technologies, trust & confidence in policing, as well as legal regulation of criminal investigations, police custody & suspects' rights.
